AUTOMOTIVE

Developments within the automotive industry both at home and abroad do not stand still. Heavier applications such as (mini)buses and trucks are often used to operate within a certain radius of their location. This makes a step toward full (or partial) electrification possible. Usually in these applications we speak of electric traction motors for the main drive. Characteristic for traction motors within the automotive industry is the compact design of the motor that needs to operate within a wide voltage range at high powers.

Typically, the motors (and motor controllers) are provided with

water cooling. Unlike the standards that exist for industry, customer-specific builds and dimensions are usually used within automotive. EMT is attuned to this flexibility and adapts it as required.

EMT is a discussion partner for automotive electric motors both at home and abroad. Within a voltage range of 24V-650VDC, various solutions have been provided as a main drive or as support within an automotive application. The main drive can consist of a central motor or a so-called wheel drive.
